What is more sought after than a Patek Philippe watch? Wanted, sophisticated, is the theme of the 21st edition of the long-awaited "Tribute to the Movement" golf competition by Patek Philippe. Conceived to bring together owners of Patek Philippe watches, lovers of fine watchmaking and exclusive dealers representing the Geneva-based manufacture in Italy, it took place on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 July at the Circolo Golf Villa d’Este in Montorfano.
And how can we not associate the word Wanted with the posters that stand out in every Sergio Leone western film, in which the bandit is hunted by justice with a bounty of thousands of dollars? Hence, the race has turned into a journey from the 18 holes of the Club to the Wild West.
Also this year the response of the guests was enthusiastic: over 80 players for each day were welcomed under the hospitality tent set up on the terrace and by a rich brunch, and wearing the personalized Patek Philippe polo shirt they ventured into the first challenge: putting. green on 9 holes.
The country-western theme is declined since the arrival of the guests in the clubhouse with large compositions of cacti and hay bales, horseshoes and colored bandanas: on the field 3 greedy buffets offered tacos, corn on the cob and mini Texan burgers. A cowboy and a “gentlewoman” from Saloon invited the teams for a souvenir photo in a themed set.
The great protagonist of the event was, as always, the collection of the Geneva-based maison: in the hall of the clubhouse, the Patek Philippe novelties presented this year were exhibited, including the new Calatrava Clou de Paris and the new Perpetual Calendar in line with case in platinum.
After the award ceremony, the two-day event ended with an aperitif on the terrace of the clubhouse, animated by DJ Andrea Barbagelata and a repertoire of great west classics by maestro Morricone.
